The Fair Labor Standards Act is the federal law that requires employers to pay minimum wage and overtime. Despite its conceptual simplicity, employers sometimes underpay their workers, leading to lawsuits. KVL has successfully litigated both sides of the FLSA. We regularly defend employers in claims by their employees, and we have also prosecuted claims on behalf of workers for violations of the FLSA.
