Anisha C. Atchanah is a partner at Kim Vaughan Lerner LLP whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including business and corporate disputes, shareholder litigation, business torts, premises liability, and first and third-party property insurance defense. She has tried bench and jury trials in both state and federal courts and handles all phases of litigation, from motion practice and discovery through mediation and trial, as well as appellate briefing.  Prior to joining the firm, Anisha gained significant experience in foreclosure and condominium/homeowners' association litigation.

Representative Experience

  • Represented international telecommunications company in common law fraud, RICO and FCC claims in a five-day federal court trial, resulting in a multimillion jury verdict in favor of client.

  • Represented client in an eight-day state court jury trial involving claims of sexual harassment and retaliation in violation of the Florida Civil Rights Act (Florida’s equivalent to Title VII).

  • Defended insurance companies at trial and at case dispositive hearings in property damage and breach of contract claims.

  • Defended governmental agencies in premises liability and breach of contract actions.

  • Defended corporations and individuals against tortious interference and breach of fiduciary duties claims.

  • Represented homeowners' association in multi-million dollar dispute involving claims of breach of contracts, unjust enrichment, and breach of fiduciary duties, and injunctive relief.

  • Represented telecommunications company in breach of lease agreement, specific performance and declaratory judgment litigation.

  • Represented shareholders in disputes against company.

  • Represented companies in joint venture dispute.

  • Represented individuals and companies in complex commercial trust litigation with claims sounding in fraud, unjust enrichment and contract.
